Welcome to CitizenPlay. By using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using CitizenPlay, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

CitizenPlay is an educational mobile application designed to help users prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Test through gamified learning experiences. The app includes:

• Educational game modes covering U.S. civics
• Progress tracking and achievements
• Premium features including AI tutoring (subscription required)

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You may create an account using email, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

3.2 Anonymous Usage

You may use certain features without creating an account, but progress may not sync across devices.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free and Premium Tiers

• Free: Core gameplay, all worlds and levels, exam simulation
• Premium: All free features plus AI Tutor and personalized recommendations

4.2 Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Prices are displayed in the app before purchase
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Play Store account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the app for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the app
• Share account credentials with others
• Misuse AI features for non-educational purposes
• Circumvent subscription requirements

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content in CitizenPlay (including text, graphics, logos, and software) is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and other laws.

6.2 USCIS Questions

Civics test questions are based on publicly available U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) materials, which are in the public domain.

6.3 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as feedback). By submitting content, you grant us a license to use it to improve the app.

7. Disclaimers

7.1 Educational Purpose Only

CitizenPlay is an educational tool. We do not guarantee that using the app will result in passing the citizenship test.

7.2 Not Legal Advice

The app does not provide legal or immigration advice. Consult a qualified attorney for legal matters.

7.3 AI Limitations

AI features provide educational assistance only. AI responses may contain errors and should not be relied upon as authoritative.

7.4 "As Is" Service

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party services (Apple, Google, Firebase)

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the app or violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except where prohibited by law.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
